Israeli artist Avner Moriah has created several works of art for public spaces in both Israel and the United States. The first work displayed here is Against the Odds a 7-ft. x 24-ft. oil painting commemorating Israel's War of Independence, on permanent display at the Ammunition Hill National War Memorial in Jerusalem. The second is a 12-ft. x 12-ft. work comprised of 13 oil-on-canvas panels entitled Gathering at Mount Sinai, on permanent display at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. The third is a 14 oil-on-canvas panel series entitled Women's Zodiac, created for Women's League for Conservative Judaism and on permanent display in their Educational Pavilion at the JTS in New York.
